Community Service Update

This semester, SigEp has taken a new approach to community service with a new focus on direct community involvement. This fall we have worked with the Lehigh Valley Humane Society, during which a group of brothers would walk the dogs and do other activities with animals. Also, SigEp participated in Lehigh's 10th Annual Spooktacular, a day designed to provide the surrounding community with a free Halloween experience. Our biggest program this fall has been the Donegan Elementary After School Program. Every week, a group of brothers run sports activities and other games with a group of 30 kids ranging from 3rd to 5th grade. The after school program provides these kids with a safe place to have fun after school. SigEp is the first Greek house to volunteer with this new program. As this semester is coming to a close, we are looking for new community service opportunities such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club, and other organizations.
